Welcome to the website for Iconic Spirits: An Intoxicating History

Beverage guru and award-winning author Mark Spivak is the host of Quench!, a weekly radio podcast that tells consumers everything about their favorite wines and spirits (except how to drink them). He is the Wine & Spirits Editor for the Palm Beach Media Group, the former wine writer for the Palm Beach Post, and a contributor to a number of national magazines. He is also the holder of the Certificate and Advanced Diplomas from the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Mark began writing Iconic Spirits after becoming fascinated with the untold stories behind the world's greatest liquors. As a writer, he's always searching for the unknown details that make his subjects compelling and unique.

Disclaimer: "Beverage guru" is not a formal title or legal term, but rather an honorary accolade conferred on Mark by the villagers of eastern Tibet, who were overjoyed at his expertise in refined alcoholic drinks rather than the fermented and curdled yak's milk to which they were accustomed.
